UNYT requires students to provide an appropriate English language certificate as required by the bylaws of the Ministry of Education and Sports with a level of at least B1/B2. Otherwise, UNYT students are obliged to attend an English as a Second Language (ESL) program.
- Payment of the ESL program is 900 € per semester

Admission Criteria
The Application Process for applying in the Bachelor Programs of UNYT is made possible through the U-Albania Portal in the pre-defined dates from the Ministry of Education.
(Every enrollment period we should add a customized calendar from U-Albania with the dates for each process. This is usually public in April)
UNYT Admission Criteria
- Diploma and Matura Certificate from E Albania with digital stamp.
- If the degree is not obtained in the Republic of Albania, it must go through the diploma recognition process at the Ministry of Education and Sports.
- Photocopy of ID or passport.
- Personal Certificate from E Albania.
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- English Certificate of B1/B2 Level.

International Students Admissions
All applicants should submit the following documents in order to complete the application process:
- 1 completed application form (if the application was not filled in online)
- 1 certified copy of high school diploma and transcripts* of all the years
- Proof of English level
- An electronic passport photo or 3 printed passport-size photos
- 1 copy of a valid passport or ID card

Transfer Student Admissions
If you already have university credits from another institution, you may be able to transfer some of the credits toward a bachelor's degree program at UNYT. These credits may allow you to begin your studies at UNYT at a more advanced stage within the program.
To apply for credit transfer, you will need to provide detailed course descriptions (in English) of any related courses you have previously completed. Official transcript from the current university as well as syllabus descriptions in order to evaluate the credits that could be transferred.
These should be sent with your application form and transcripts.

Student Academic Petition
The Student Academic Petition process at UNYT provides a formal mechanism for students to request exceptions to academic policies, procedures, or requirements. This process is designed to address unique circumstances that may warrant special consideration.
Common reasons for academic petitions include:
- Course substitutions or waivers
- Late withdrawal from courses
- Extension of deadlines for incomplete grades
- Permission to take courses at other institutions
- Exceptions to graduation requirements
To submit an academic petition, students must complete the official petition form, provide supporting documentation, and obtain the necessary signatures from faculty and advisors. All petitions are reviewed by the Academic Standards Committee, which meets regularly throughout the academic year.
Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor before submitting a petition to ensure they understand the process and requirements. Decisions on petitions are typically communicated to students within two weeks of submission.
