Research, Projects & Innovation Centre
The University of New York Tirana (UNYT) aspires to establish itself as a significant national and regional hub for collaboration in academic and research domains, publication activities, and the advancement of civic education values. UNYT actively seeks participation in development projects with a primary focus on capacity building and the exchange of both staff and students. Embracing European standards of quality assurance is a key priority, along with the coordination of joint scientific conferences, the publication of academic works, and translations of internationally renowned pedagogical authors. Furthermore, UNYT is dedicated to enhancing teaching equipment and laboratory facilities, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, openness, and horizontal linkages among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), research centers, governmental organizations, and other pertinent stakeholders.
Objectives
- To develop and implement a strategic plan aligning with UNYT's mission and long-term vision.
- To foster a culture of research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.
- To secure external funding and cultivate strategic partnerships to support research and innovation initiatives, promoting financial sustainability.
- To identify, facilitate, and prioritize research and development projects addressing academic, societal, and industry challenges.
- To enhance institutional capacity through investments in infrastructure, human resources, and technology.
- To ensure the long-term sustainability and continued impact of development projects.
- To provide students with hands-on learning experiences and encourage civic engagement through involvement in development projects.
- To foster projects that address local and global community needs, contributing to societal development and well-being.
