Women’s Participation in Politics and their Leadership | Dr. Mimi Kodheli

?UNYT students and staff meet Dr. Mimi KODHELI, the first Female Albanian Minister of Defense, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, Vice-President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and Head of the Albanian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly at the question and answer session, hosted at the University of New York Tirana.
?UNYT students and staff welcomed Dr.Mimi KODHELI in an open lecture on the topic “Women’s Participation in Politics and their Leadership” on April 21st 9, 2021.
?After a warm speech by the Rector of UNYT Prof.Dr. Ismail KOCAYUSUFOGLU, students structured and presented their questions to Dr. Mimi KODHELI. The questions were based upon the contemporary issues that Albania is facing like the EU integration, monetary policies, Women Leadership, investments in knowledge and culture, advice on leadership and succeeding, and the longstanding issue of youth contribution to the progress of the country. Dr. Mimi KODHELI after a very warm and inspiring speech regarding her life, in front of an on-looking audience, took her time to carefully answer all of them. The answers Dr. Mimi KODHELI gave, outlined a range of current and future policies, which have been set up to solve the issues raised.
?It was a great day for the students, (due to COVID measures, not the participation was limited) an experience that will hopefully inspire them to reach their future goals.
