“State and Society in communist Albania 1945-1990”

The scientific contribution to fill the gap created and to professionally address the elements and essential developments of the period 1945-1990, the Institute of Political Studies (ISP) supported by the “Transition” program of the Czech MFA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic – comes with the publication “State and Society in communist Albania 1945-1990”. Co-editors Afrim Krasniqi and Vera Stojanova, in the preface of the book rightly states “Any book that describes life under these regimes, which shows total control, censorship, paranoia; secret police, concentration camps, labor camps, relocations, and executions; every book that exposes the cults of the personality that empowers these regimes: every such act is a treasure ”. Our dear Deputy Rector, Ilir Kalemaj Ph.D., and Ass. Lecturer Alkida Lushaj were part of this contribution with one chapter each.
