UNYT Opening Ceremony – New Academic Year 2019-2020

The Maarif International Schools | University of New York Tirana had the pleasure to receive the presence of his Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Tirana H.E.Mr. Murat Ahmet Yörük, the Member of the Board of Trustee of Turkish Maarif Foundation Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihad DEMİRLİ, Member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Maarif Foundation Mr. Mustafa Çaltılı, Deputy Mayor of Tirana Mr. Andi Seferi, Balkan Region Coordinator of Turkish Maarif Foundation – Mr. Salih Sağır, Director of Turkish Maarif Foundation of Albania – Mr. Fatih Cankurt.

We welcome back all of you to university, particularly a warm welcome to the new students who are joining our big family for the first time.
This year we celebrate the 17th anniversary of the University of New York Tirana. We have always looked into the future and worked for a more sustainable, healthy and intelligent world. Since two years now we are part of the largest educational group of the world International Maarif Schools/ Turkish Maarif Foundation. With Maarif Foundation, UNYT will continue to grow and further develop as additional focus and efforts will be placed on improving the quality of teaching, learning, and scientific research.

The rector of the university Prof.Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoğlu, academics, as well as UNYT alumni, school directors, teachers, representatives of unions and NGOs, families and our dear students.
In his welcome speech speaker, Prof. Dr. Kocayusufoğlu emphasized on the internationality and new research-based projects currently being developed in UNYT. He congratulated the students on further success for the academic year 2019-2020.
