Meet Livia Hoxha, the Best Student of the Generation!

Good Evening dear rector Ismail Kocayusufoglu, distinguished guests, faculty, fellow students, dear parents and Graduating class 2019! Firstly I would like to thank the highly reputable “Maarif Foundation” which has taken the lead of UNYT as the best university in Albania.
It seems like it was yesterday when we were freshmen starting our university journey. The whole experience has been full of amazing moments, most of which we will cherish forever. During the last four years we have grown up together, shared worries, concerns and success thus creating a bond so strong that will unite us for the rest of our lives.
It astonishes me how fast a single moment can go by. It is chilling when you think about it, but it’s also very empowering, as it now gives me the courage to take a few moments and thank everyone who had an impact and shaped us into becoming who we are today.

I would like to start by thanking on my behalf and my fellow graduates the faculty of University of New York Tirana. We were all so lucky to be guided and mentored by you. You taught us so much and I truly thank you for your tireless work, your patience, and your compassion. My thanks and recognition goes to: Prof. Juna, Nertila, Gerta, Perparim, Ines, Zana, Enila, Ilir, Fatos, Arian, Matilda, Enkelejda, Ariana, Emiljano and Kledi and of course the head of Department of Finance, prof Andromahi, who has been the companion of us Finance students the past couple of years and to whom we owe our genuine gratitude. I would like to thank all of you for inspiring us and also pushing us to reach our potential. You are the greatest professors we could have ever wished for and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
I would also like to mention the staff of UNYT and of Empire State College who have always been very helpful and attentive, particularly Evis and Najada.

Of course I would also like to thank and show respect to all my friends and classmates; we share a strong and wonderful friendship with great memories that will last a lifetime. Each of them are wonderful individuals whom I am proud to know and who will certainly be very successful in their future endeavors and careers! I really want to mention them in an alphabetical order, as a token of my appreciation and admiration for them. Alphabetically: Senada Alla, Pranvera Guxho, Fiona Hoxha, Pamela Muka, Gjysho Merko, Klodi Mehmeti, Glen Papadhima, Arisild Tanaj, Sara Take. I am so certain that we will hear great things from you in the future and I will be proud to say that we shared this experience together.

Furthermore, I feel very grateful to be surrounded tonight by my loved ones, I have my four grandparents present in this ceremony, the best anyone could ever wish for and also my lovely aunt.
Last but not least, I would like to thank my parents, truly the best anyone could have and who I aspire to become. Their love and support are the greatest gifts of my life and for that I feel thankful every day. Thank you mom for being my inspiration in life and thank you dad for being my role model; I love you.
I will always remember this moment for the rest of my life and as I let all my emotions sink in, I would like to conclude my speech with a very small segment of a poem that I wrote a while back:
“ The battles of my life I see going past as if in a procession
There is no maiming them; no delirium in possession
Just a dramatic film, it is history in the making
No conclusion, no ending
In it I find myself, my roots, my future, it is for my taking “
