Opening Ceremony

On Friday, December 1, 2023, the inauguration of the University of New York Tirana's new campus building, nestled in the heart of the capital, takes place. Esteemed representatives from Albanian and Turkish institutions graced the ceremony, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Albania, His Excellency Tayyar Kağan ATAY; The President of the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF), Prof. Dr Birol AKGÜN; members of the Executive Board of the Turkish Maarif Foundation and members of the Executive Board of the University of New York Tirana. Situated at the 21 Dhjetori intersection on Kavaja Street, UNYT's New Campus provides not only enhanced accessibility for students but also fosters daily interactions and additional services. The 5-floor building, spanning 3600 m², caters to approximately 1460 students and is equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, and recreational spaces featuring the latest teaching and learning technology. An approximate 106% rise in enrollment was recorded at the beginning of the new academic year in October. Over 27 different nationalities are represented among UNYT students. Boasting over 21 years of educational expertise, the University of New York Tirana is a premier institution in English-language education. With a diverse international academic staff and a multicultural environment, it welcomes individuals aspiring to secure the best for their future.
