Yesterday, our Faculty of Economy and Business at the University of New York Tirana proudly hosted a pivotal event in collaboration with the Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) and the Bank of Albania as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month! This open lecture was designed to enhance the understanding of financial sector-specific cybersecurity threats and the proactive measures essential to protecting this vital industry.
Held in the Conference Hall on our Main Campus, the lecture featured insights from distinguished experts Indrit Xhemali, Head of IT at the Bank of Albania, and Ermal Galo, Head of Information Security at Union Bank Albania and a key member of the AAB’s Cybersecurity Committee. Students, faculty, and industry professionals had the unique opportunity to engage directly with leaders in the field, gaining valuable knowledge on evolving cybersecurity practices within the financial sector.
