The University of New York Tirana was officially represented in the global competition of Chicago Mercantile Exchange and managed to reach the 61st place. Consequently, two teams composed by our students were trained in order to participate in this global scale event.
CME Group’s Trading Challenge is a complimentary four-week electronic trading competition where teams of undergraduate and graduate students can trade a variety of CME Group products from multiple asset classes in a simulated trading environment on a real-time professional trading platform provided by CQG, Inc. Top ranking students ARE eligible for cash prizes and exclusive CME Group experiences.
This annual competition has grown each year – with 200 schools from 30 countries and nearly 500 teams competing last year in 2016. The Trading Challenge is a unique chance for students to learn hands-on techniques for trading futures.
Dr. Andromahi Kufo, a member of UNYT’s Department of Economics and Finance has organized and coordinated the training session to prepare senior students to excel in such a global competition as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Our university was represented by two solid teams that were registered and competing with the main goal to be in the first 60 teams qualified for the final phase but their efforts brought the 61st place.
