Scholarships

The benefits of higher education go beyond increasing a student’s potential employability and earning power over the course of their career. Graduates lead healthier lifestyles, contribute more to their communities and are more tolerant towards a diverse community than their contemporaries who do not participate in higher education (Source: 'Revisiting the benefits of higher education’ – HEFCE research 2003). With this in mind, at UNYT we believe that everyone should aspire to achieving a university education and that no student should be deterred from applying to our University solely for financial reasons.

It is for this reason why UNYT runs a limited scheme of competitive scholarships and awards for outstanding undergraduate students studying for a Bachelor’s degree.

UNYT Scholarship UNYT offers two types of scholarships to incoming students based on the percentage of fees covered. Five full-fee scholarships will be provided to the five first winners of UNYT’s competition. For these students, all fees associated with registration and course work will be provided. Six other scholarships will provide 50% of the fees to the sixth up to the eleventh winner of UNYT’s competition. Each of these scholarships will be provided for the students’ complete course of study. Assuming adherence to the terms and conditions of the scholarships, scholarships will cover all four years of study leading to a UNYT Bachelor’s degree. However, scholarship holders wishing to obtain a Bachelor’s from Empire State College / The State University of New York are required to cover the fees of the ESC/SUNY concentration courses in their own financial means. "Gramoz Pashko" Scholarship In addition, UNYT announces a scholarship entitled "Gramoz Pashko." This scholarship will be awarded to the top candidate in UNYT's entrance examination who intends to study Economics or Finance. For this student, all fees associated with registration and course work will be provided for the complete course of study. Assuming adherence to the terms and conditions, the scholarship will cover all four years of study leading to a UNYT Bachelor's degree. A "Gramoz Pashko" scholarship holder is also entitled to apply for SUNY/ESC's "Gramoz and Ruben Pashko" scholarship that also leads to a SUNY/ESC Bachelor's degree. Awards

Outstanding full-time students with the best grades who complete 12 or more credits with a semester G.P.A. of 3.50 or higher, and who have no repeat or failing grades for that semester is included in the Dean’s list. The five first students placed in the Dean’s list qualify for the academic excellence award worth up to 50% reduction in the fees the following year.
