Under the motto “The Mission to Remember”, Institute for Democracy, Media & Culture and Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in Tirana organized on 24-28 October 2016 the “Memory Days”. During this week, national and international institutions of historical memory working in Albania  presented their projects to the public.

In the context of this week, a group of University of New York Tirana students, presented recent publications about dictatorship and its impact on Albania. our students  working on a project and exhibition with OTTOnomy, covered a research in the Albanian press from 1932 to 1992 concerning International Relations, specifically articles related to USA and US presidents. The research served to complete an exhibition of US presidential pictures taken from Albanian origin New York Times photographer George Tames.

The exhibition aimed to show the history of the period which some generations in Albania still do not completely know, leaving room for everyone to create their own perspective.
