We would like to remind you that, in view of the continuing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Europe, University of New York Tirana has taken the decision to CANCEL the First International Student Congress (ISC’20), which was to be held from 10 to 12 April 2020 at UNYT.
Note: The Government of Albania has taken very drastic measures by closing all activities including here the educational institutions for an undefined date.

International Student Congress 2020 - "The Power of Effective Communication: Challenges and Opportunities"
The University of New York Tirana warmly invites all the students to present their research papers at the First International Student Congress which will take place on April 10-12, 2020. All students’ presentations will be 15-20 min which afterwards is followed by a Q&A session with the panel members and the audience. This congress is a great opportunity for each international student to explore more into the academic field and write on the power that effective communication has in different areas and will be a great motivation for their future researches in their career.
Please note that the abstract should be max. 250 words long and must include the credentials of the student, their degree program and the title of the article. Before you send us the abstract, we would recommend you to have a look at the Abstract Guidelines and the Abstract Template.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 13th, 2020
Announcement for accepted paper is March 16th, 2020
Deadline for submission of the full paper is April 20th, 2020.
Your official application for the International Student Congress shall be submitted through the Online Application Form which can be found on our webpage: http://unyt.edu.al/index.php/unyt-1st-international-student-congress-2020/ -> APPLY NOW. All boxes of the Application Form are compulsory; in case the application is done individually; meaning if there is one author applying for the Student Congress. The Application form consists of five separate sections including Personal Information, Academic Information, Passport Information Abstract Submission and Payment Option Choice.
In order for your application to be valid as well as accepted, we urge you to fill all the required blank spaces, including the abstract submission form. This means that when we receive your application, we simultaneously receive the abstract for your paper and we gradually send it for approval. This would make the whole process easier and more effective and we would concentrate more on making your experience more enjoyable.

We welcome the submission of abstracts from students from all around the world including students from all levels of their studies related to the fields of economics, communications, psychology, political science, engineering, art and design, law, and education.
ISC'20 will provide 20 scholarships for the best applicants. The scholarship will cover:
- Local travel, accommodation, food expenses, and training materials;
Travel to and from Tirana and visa expenses are covered by the participants.
Participants should choose one of the following options:
OPTION 1 – Free of charge participation – The organizer will cover the following expenses:
- 2 nights’ accommodation (for the dates of the congress)
- Meals during the congress days
- Gala dinner
- Promotion materials, congress proceedings and certificate of attendance.
OPTION 2 – The participation fee of 50 EUR that includes:
- 3 nights’ accommodation (for the dates of congress plus one day before or after the congress)
- Meals during the congress days
- Gala dinner
- Promotion materials, congress proceedings and certificate of attendance
- Sightseeing tour in Tirana
